POETRY SAVED MY LIFE
This is Fleeky ONE.
She’s an Internet buddy who grabbed my hand and enthusiastically dragged me off to play with her. Always a grand thing, I say!
Fleeky frequents the Wealthy Affiliates platform, which is a learning place for people who spend their time poking at computer keyboards, building blogs and customer bases and all that stuff, twisting their heads around to learn to deal with all the complexities of that effort.
(Most of us who hang at Wealthy Affiliates are learning how to get a handle on affiliate-marketing and are using the incredible array of knowledge presented there by expert online marketers and a very large world-wide tribe of wanna-be financial independents to further our own runs to Rainbow’s-End.)
I told Fleeky about my “Guest Poet Portal” and extended an invitation to her to share a poem on this here blog and her response was immediate.
BOOM!
A Fleeky-poem appeared. The speed of her response was awesome. It took my breath away.
Here’s the poem:
ONE POEM a day
Keeps the doctor away
Sound familiar?
Rewrite
Poetry saved my life
It is a wonderful world
Full of meaning and sense
The shorter
The best
Misstakes and typos
Are common errors
But…oh so funny!

I asked Fleeky what she thought would enhance the reader’s experience of her poem and her answer was:
Uh… add some video
With hip hop dance
?
That sent me off to YouTube and got me really excited about the possibilities inherent in the hip-hop spoken poetry scene….but, that’s another story.
I pulled up this offering from Boom Bang, “Neon Hip-Hop Dance,” performed by the Wrecking Crew Orchestra.
Since it was published in 2012, it had over two million views. Wo!
[So, there, Fleeky! Hope you like it!]
Fleeky is working on a new site she calls “Inventive One” – an invitation for Creatives to play.
My own favorite, though, is her original site, Mlaure: Creative Scribblings. Click here for her story and for more poems.
It’s so cool….
[Guest poets add other voices to this thing and they do make the song we are singing more lively. Click the button. Come play.]

Thank you for sharing and to Fleeky for this guest post. I like how on Wealthy Affiliate you have the tools to build any kind of website you would like and they teach you how to generate income with any kind of website.
I like your website because it seems like you express what’s on your mind and you’re able to get creative.
This makes me want to have a website more about expressing what’s on my mind as opposed to just about making money with products. Writing is so much more fun and engaging when you are really into what you’re writing. Thanks for being an example of that.
Edward, thanks for your visit and for sharing your thoughts. I’m so glad you enjoyed the post. I sure had fun doing it!

Hi, Netta.
Thanks for the bubbly article, it was flowing with the flow.
A superb poem to start with and ending with the exciting hip hop dance–all too great.
Having friends to swing along is always excellent. You are fortunate enough to have Fleeky One.
Go…Flow with the flow,
Because Fleeky One is on the Toe.
With Netta on the side,
Feel that warm loving pride.
Warm Regards,
Gaurav Gaur

YAY!
Loved this tongue in cheek post and it’s great to see the Wealthy Affiliate members supporting each other this way and even posting links to other members websites. That is the true essence of Wealthy Affiliate, to help each other out and keep each other motivated.
The hip hop video was awesome and I loved the used of the lights to make it look like the dancers were time traveling. I am a Hip Hop teacher, and I would love to have the facilities to produce something this good.
Thanks for the visit, Michel and for sharing your thoughts. What a cool thing to be teaching!
Please do come again.
